Westbrook, Maine (November 1, 2013) – Artel, the leader in liquid handling quality assurance, announced today that the company will present a talk at the Fall Meeting of the New England Laboratory Robotics Interest Group (LRIG) on November 14 at the Boston Marriott Cambridge Hotel. The talk, “Applying Volume Measurement Information to Optimize Liquid Handler Methods: Specific Examples Include a Biomek, Bravo and Preddator,” will be presented by Keith Albert, senior applications specialist at Artel. The session, which is free of charge to attendees, will take place at 5:00 p.m. in the Endeavor Room.

“We are happy to participate in this important meeting and support LRIG,” commented Albert. “This meeting provides an excellent forum for area researchers and suppliers to come together for information exchange.”

LRIG New England is a rapidly growing special interest group focused on laboratory automation. Its membership consists of scientists and engineers, primarily from the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, with chapters across the U.S. and in Europe. Semi-annual regional meetings are informal and are intended to facilitate communication and to share current best practices and experiences in laboratory automation. Presentations and vendor exhibits cover such topics as high-throughput screening, drug discovery, combinatorial chemistry, compound purification and distribution, data management, pharmaceutical dosage form, dissolution testing and product formulation.
